Status…It’s Complicated (Part 2)

Once inside of the bedroom, Toni started to undress Natasha. She started by pulling her flowery blouse over her head, leaving Natasha in her bra and tight denim jeans. As she was about to undo the buttons on Natasha’s jeans, Natasha’s cell phone started to chime with a familiar ringtone.

“You better not answer that!” Toni firmly stated.

“Baby, you know that I have to. Give me a second,” pleaded Natasha.

“Do what you’re gonna do! I’m going to take a shower.” Toni stomped into their bathroom and slammed the door.

“I’m so sorry,” Natasha apologetically said as she went to answer her phone, knowing that Toni was no longer listening to her.

Answering her phone, Natasha asked irritated, “What do you want Bryan?”

“Well hello to you too, wife of mine. I was just calling to see if you had finally come to your senses and had decided to ask for my forgiveness so that you could return to your family,” Bryan said in a matter-of-fact manner.

“You know that isn’t happening. I don’t even love you! Why would you want to be with me? You weren’t even nice to me.”

“It isn’t about that. We were mean to each other. But that didn’t mean that you had to run off with some manly woman. You aren’t even gay! That’s probably why she looks like a guy.”

“Stop it, Bryan! I am what I am!”

“You know that you get nothing from me if we get a divorce. Are you willing to risk that? You haven’t worked a day in your life. Does your manly girlfriend plan to take care of you?”

“I can take care of myself, as I have been for a while. There is nothing that I need from you. Me and Toni are good!”

“Ok, so then why were you fucking me the other day? Does Toni know about that?”

“You know what that was,” Natasha said in a whisper. “I was having a moment of weakness. It won’t happen again.”

Laughing, Bryan said, “We will see. You and I both know how much you love this big, black…”

“I’m hanging up now! Don’t call me again!” Natasha yelled as she ended the call.

After getting off the phone, Natasha went to the bathroom to try to soothe Toni. Talking to Toni through the shower door, she said, “Toni, come on…you know that I am doing all that I can.”

Angrily, Toni responds, “You aren’t doing enough! This is why I don’t mess with straight women! It’s been two years and you’re telling me it’s that complicated that you aren’t divorced yet?”

“Baby, you know I don’t like labels. I told you that it would be complicated. We have a child together, and plus there is the issue with my parents.”

“About that, how is it that your parents don’t even know about our relationship? Aren’t you a little old to be hiding shit like that?”

“I will lose my inheritance if I do. You know that they are devout Catholics.”

“Maybe it’s time that you got a job. Fuck depending on your parents. Live your life!”

“You say that so easy, yet you benefit from their money too. How does that new Mercedes ride?”

“Fuck you, Natasha! You can have it and your husband! Let me find out you and him still fuckin’!”

Pulling the shower door open, Natasha gets in the shower with her bra and pants still on. “Do you know how much I love you?” she asks Toni as she begins caressing her wet body.
