Sleepily waking up a little after noon, Toni and Ashanti ordered room service to replenish their expended nutrients. While waiting for their food to arrive, they stretched, untangling their bodies only for Toni to pull Ashanti back into her embrace. “Where do you think you’re going?” Toni playfully asked Ashanti.
Covering her mouth, Ashanti answered, “I was going to put some toothpaste in this mouth. Didn’t want my breath to knock you back out.”
“You know I care nothing about a little morning breath.”
“Because you’re nasty,” Ashanti said laughing.
“Give me a kiss and maybe I will let you go.”
Obliging Toni’s request, Ashanti gave her a quick kiss on the lips before pulling free to go into the bathroom.
As Toni watched her walk away, she spoke, “Thank you for another wonderful night. Maybe we will have another tonight.”
“All of the time I spend with you is great. As for tonight…you better check in with your girl first. I’m surprised she wasn’t blowing up your cell.”
Looking at her phone, Toni said, “I didn’t even think about that, but you’re right; she didn’t call me once since I dropped her off.”
“Now that shit ain’t normal, Toni. Then again, she could be doing the same thing you’re doing now.”
“And if she is, good for her!”
“As much as you may act like you don’t care, you love that woman.”
“Nah, I have love for her. You’re the one I love. But you playing. Leave that dude alone and let us happen.”
Before getting into the shower, Ashanti casually responded, “Not happening and not discussing it.”
“We will see,” Toni replied.
After Ashanti showered and dressed, Toni did the same. Toni joined Ashanti for the meal that was delivered to their room. As they nibbled on their food, conversation continued to flow. Toni asked, “What do you want to do today? We both know Marcus isn’t looking for you.”
“Shut up, Toni,” Ashanti said rolling her eyes. “For all we know, Natasha is waiting at your car or outside our door right now.”
“Stop playing!” To be on the safe side, Toni opened the room door to look down the hall, only after looking through the peephole. This made both of them laugh.
Seeing that Natasha wasn’t stalking their room, Toni said, “For real though, I may need to go home to make sure she good. But after that, we can do a little shopping, catch a movie, a bite to eat, then come back here to spend some more quality time.”
“That’s fine with me. I guess I can stop by my house and get some things. I had only planned for one night and I don’t know why, considering how greedy of my time you are.”
“I don’t either. You already know how we do. Help me finish this food so we can go. I don’t want to be out of your presence that long.”
“See, that’s what I’m talking about,” Ashanti said laughing. “You want all of my time. Thankfully for you, I find it kind of flattering.”
